[Adam debated for a long time over whether to send this photo or not. Ronan would most definitely be happier with it deleted, but that was never an option. On the other hand, Adam selfishly wanted to keep it to himself, keep that one tiny moment in time locked away where no one else could see.
But doing that would have meant something that Adam isn't ready to confront. Anyway, Gansey made the crown, Gansey asked him to talk Ronan into putting it on, so Gansey should see it. Also, more practically, if Ronan ever manages to take Adam's phone and delete the picture, at least there'll be another copy somewhere.
So once they're back on the train and he's had time to battle his selfish desires, Adam texts Gansey the photo. It's surprisingly good, considering it was taken in a rush, which is all down to luck rather than Adam's phone picture skills, of which he has none.
Ronan is looking away, the flower crown resting on his brow. The delicacy and beauty of the flowers accentuate the sharpness of his features. Gansey was right, the crown does suit him, though it doesn't make him look any less dangerous. Only more wild, more like a wolf than a dog, like he'd be right at home in a forest, like maybe he's something not totally human. A handsome, perilous god.
[gansey lies there, curled in his blankets, stunned at the picture on his screen. he has always known ronan is handsome, that only the way he carries himself can sometimes obscure that. but somehow, adam managed to capture gansey's knight, cabeswater's greywaren, in one simple photograph.
ronan would be so, so angry.
he saves it in several places, making it unlikely anyone will find them all. he wants to have this forever, because it's the truest picture of ronan he's ever seen.
his response to adam is wordless as well. he sends the picture he took of adam in his crown, all delicate bones and fierce concentration, the wreath of flowers perfectly at home in his henrietta-dust hair, otherworldly and beautiful. adam deserves to know how gansey sees him sometimes, regardless of whether he knows what to feel about it.]
They take our souls and put them in clone bodies. Everything is frozen at home until we come back. When we do, we'll forget everything that happened here.
[gansey's pretty clever, and there's only two people he knows about giving lessons. the other one is rook, and he sure as hell wouldn't be offering anything to gansey.]

You're stuck on some kind of train too?
[Adam's relief cannot be quantified in words, so he won't even try.]

(Yeah see Max doesn't bother to introduce himself or let Gansey know who this is. A failure of text etiquette for sure but also Max just being Max.
All the others figured it out though so Max can only assume Gansey will too.)
